Rick Ifland, Managing Partner

ROLE

Oxford’s founding partner, Rick has over 13 years experience in a wide variety of private equity investments, and over 25 years experience in executive management.  Rick leads the firm’s investment activities, operations, and investor relations, and oversees Oxford’s new management consulting division.

 

EXPERIENCE

Rick has been actively involved in several of Oxford Holdings’ portfolio companies, including Hargett Corporation, Barna Global, The Advantage Network and our various income protection and income growth funds.  He has been past Chairman, CEO or Director of Monessen Hearth Systems, Kentucky Aeromedical Team, Thoroughbred Technologies and Flexis, Inc.

HISTORY

Prior to founding Oxford Holdings, Rick was a co-founder of Atera Partners, LLC, where he held the position of Managing Partner.  Previous to Atera, he was the founder and sole owner of ICS, a national mortgage credit-reporting firm that revolutionized the industry by introducing a national platform using artificial intelligence and predictive modeling to significantly reduce cost and turn-around time.  ICS was acquired by Fidelity National Financial (NYSE:FNF) where Rick held a senior executive position.  He has significant experience and has held senior executive positions in operations, marketing and finance across a breadth of industries including information technology, manufacturing, medical technology and infrastructure/construction.

EDUCATION

Rick earned a Masters degree in International Law at Oxford University, an MBA from the Gatton School of Business at the University of Kentucky, and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business from Westmont College.  He has been awarded a D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) for his executive leadership at NGO’s operating throughout the Middle East and Africa.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Rick is actively engaged in several local, national and international not-for-profit organizations.  He serves on the micro-finance team at Southland Christian church, providing loans to Indonesian businesses.  Rick also serves as a Trustee and as Development Chair at Westmont College, where he led a successful $82 million capital campaign, and also serves on the Finance, Investment and Planning committees.  He also currently serves as Chairman of Unearthed Pictures and as a Director of The Mustard Seed Foundation. Past involvement includes serving as Chairman and CEO of Voice For Humanity, Director of World Wide Open, Chairman of Pacific Rim Trading, and Director of the Commonwealth of Kentucky Personnel Board.
